ENHYPEN (엔하이픈) 'Big Girls Don't Cry' MV

Producer · HYBE 100+ Cast & Crew · A 19-hour desert shoot. One day to make it work. ⭢ 8M+ Views

The Problem Producing a music video for ENHYPEN — one of HYBE's flagship K-pop acts — meant operating at a scale most music video productions never reach. Two locations thirty minutes apart, 100+ cast and crew split across both, and a 19-hour shoot day to get everything done. The complexity wasn't just logistical. The production required tight coordination between a Korean creative team and an American production crew, with a language barrier running through every department handoff, creative decision, and real-time problem that came up on set. Miscommunication at that scale doesn't just slow things down — it shuts them down.

The Approach I produced the American crew side of the operation while staying in constant communication with the Korean team throughout the day. With two active locations running simultaneously, I built a communication system that kept both units aligned on timing, talent movement, and creative direction without creating bottlenecks. I identified the pressure points where language barriers were most likely to cause friction — creative approvals, schedule changes, talent cues — and made sure there were clear channels and designated contacts for each. On the ground, I stayed focused on keeping the American crew moving efficiently while making sure nothing got lost in translation at the decision-making level.

The Result Both locations wrapped within the 19-hour window. The production delivered the creative vision HYBE came in with, executed cleanly across two simultaneous units with a mixed-language crew. The video has since surpassed 8M views. This shoot is the clearest example of what I bring to high-pressure, high-stakes production: the ability to manage complexity across multiple moving parts without losing sight of what the final product needs to be.
